As part of your company’s 1Password subscription, you get a free 1Password Families account — a personal account you can use to securely manage passwords for you and up to 5 family members.
This is a perk for being part of the team — and it’s yours to keep, even if you leave the company.
What’s Included
-
A separate personal 1Password account (not tied to your work vaults)
-
Shareable access with up to 5 family members
-
Vaults, secure storage, and sharing features — just like your work account
How to Redeem
You’ll receive an invitation email from 1Password when your work account is created.
The subject line usually looks like:
"Redeem your free 1Password Families membership"
If you missed it, IT can resend your invite — just ask.
Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Open the invite email from 1Password
-
Click Accept Invitation
-
Follow the prompts to create your personal 1Password Families account
-
Once set up, you can invite your family members from your personal dashboard
What Happens If You Leave the Company?
Your free Families subscription is provided by the company. If you leave:
-
You’ll be notified that your sponsorship is ending
-
1Password will offer a grace period (30 days)
-
After that, you can continue using your account by switching to a paid plan
During offboarding, your company 1Password access will be removed, but your Families account remains fully in your control.
Key Notes
-
Your personal account is separate from your work vaults.
-
Parker Bass Solutions cannot see or manage your Families account.
-
